I've owned this CD since July, and I've had mixed feelings about it ever since I bought it. Weasel is my all-time favorite band, but I play this CD less than all the others. I don't know why, there are some great songs on it, like Speed of Mutation, Identity Crisis, and First Day of Winter, but something about it just seems off. It seems Weasel tried to take a thrashier side on about half the songs, and it just doesn't seem to work in my mind. Buy this CD if you are a long-time Weasel fan who needs to finish off their collection, but if you are just getting in to them, a good start would be "My Brain Hurts" or "Anthem for a New Tomorrow."

Screeching Weasel is still one of my all-time favorite bands, but this ranks as my least favorite CD by them. Its well played, but nothing is memorable. Plus, where's the bass? I recommend this only to people who want to complete their SW collections.

I love Screeching Weasel and I own all their full lengths. This CD is pretty mediocre compared to some of their other ones. It has your classics, some of my favorites including SPEED OF MUTATION, COUNT TO THREE, BREAKING POINT, and BURN IT DOWN. My favorite SW album would be My Brain Hurts, but this would probably be in the top five.

This album was awesome. There are fast punk songs and then normal paced punk songs. One of Screeching Weasel's best albums.

Hmmm somewhat of a transition release from Screeching Weasel. Some a-holes have beef with this album, but it really isn't bad. A good handful of the songs on here are awesome in that only-SW kind of way. The lyrics were recorded separate from the music, so the sound is kinda fucked. But people who complain about that shit aren't hearing the substance of it all. The riffs, rhythm and drums are full of energy and everything's quite rockin'. The addition of Zac Damon on lead guitar and backing vocals was cool. The entire album has a different sound. I like it. It's another piece of Weasel history, but it probly won't be the crown of your collection.

Don't get this. The production and mixing suck--you can't hear the bass at all--, as do most of the songs. I have 11 CDs of Ben Weasel's bands, and this is by far the worst. Get any other SW album before this one.

screeching weasel is the most underrated/underappreciated band ever. so many bands copy their style and put out endless copies of their multiplatinum cds that suck. fuck nfg and (insert your favorite radio bands name her_______)buy any one of sw or the queers' albums. just don't expect to see them on mtv.

This is definatley one of there best albums. Not as good as "My Brain Hurts" or "Bark Like A Dog", but very respectable. If you like Screeching Weasel, buy it. If you don't, you're a moron.
